Inspiration: 6 Quotes to Celebrate Women's History Month
Origin
“National Woman’s Day” was first proposed by Theresa Malkiel and loosely based on the urban legend commemorating a protest by women garment workers in New York City, on March 8, 1857.
The quotes I used in this post are from a few of the women who inspire me. I hope they inspire and lift you up, too.
Proclamation
In 1987 after being petitioned by the National Women’s History Project, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9 which designated the month of March 1987 as “Women’s History Month.” Between 1988 and 1994, Congress passed additional resolutions requesting and authorizing the President to proclaim March of each year as Women’s History Month.
To celebrate being women, I've put together a few quotes by famous women that resonate with me. I hope they uplift you.

I'd like to honor my Mom and my Aunt Lily* this month, for teaching me:
- I could do anything I put my mind to
- You can always wash your hands (I didn't like getting dirty as a kid)
- Ask for help when needed
*May their memories be a blessing (RIP)
