Times flies, doesn't it? I've been feeling a little overwhelmed by regular things to do and "someday" projects, things I'd like to get done, like washing the windows, or decluttering. It’s easy to let important projects slide without time management.
This week, I'm going to refine my system for time management so I can mark things complete and move on.
This is a fun project I'm working on.
Here are the tools I use to track things to do. I hope they can help you too.
1. Pick one priority and focus on it. It can be time-sensitive or a task that you've been putting off, like reorganizing my office or going through closets. Take small, consistent steps that lead to big wins—and you’ll feel amazing checking it off your list.
2. Google Calendar is easy to sync across devices, (share with family members) schedule meetings, block time, and color-code. I find it helpful to start with family events and appointments. You can add reminder notifications too.
3, Trello works like a digital bulletin board where you can create “boards” for each project or event. You can assign due dates and mark them completed too. I find it helpful to Keep a "general or someday board" for ideas that pop up and move them to a board later.
4. When.Do (Android Phones) Has straightforward to-do lists and reminders. It's best for: quick, lightweight task tracking. One habit I have is taking notes in this app, even tho I also use my phone Notepad app.
5. Excel is the spreadsheet organizer of details and numbers.
P.S. Watch for new Jewish New Year and Bat/Bar mitzvah tableware products. I'm working with a new print manufacturer.
